Ancient Earth Entertainments (AEE) Shipping Policies
Shipping charges are valid only for the contiguous United States and Canada. See below for International Shipping.
USPS is our default carrier, but we offer numerous promotional flat rate and discounted shipping options for many items via UPS (DVDs, Game Room Products).
In general and where no other terms are stated, domestic shipping is calculated by weight according to the USPS current rates with a small handling fee of $1 added to cover packaging costs (included in shipping totals). Because of the nature of some of our items and their warehouse locations, we will automatically bump select items to UPS (no extra cost). Excessively large items ship via freight at a predetermined, per item rate.
Special Shipping Rates:
Customers must select their desired available option at the time of checkout. If your cart contains only items with special shipping rates, you will be presented with certain flat rate options:
- DVDs, Bluray discs, and video games all ship for a flat fee of $5.95. It may be cheaper to ship 4 or fewer items via USPS Media Mail, and that option remains available.
- For purchases of 5 or more DVDs, Blurays, or VGs, shipping is free. The flat rate carrier is UPS, but the shipment may be split, in which case a partial order may be shipped via USPS media mail.
- Posters ship for a flat rate of $6.95 regardless of the number of posters purchased during each order.
Tracking information is available for most shipments via USPS.com or UPS.com. Alternate shipping methods are available upon request.
International Shipping:
AEE does ship internationally, but certain items cannot be shipped internationally due to manufacturer restrictions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please note that shipping charges are not recoverable once an item has shipped, and First Class International is NOT insured. AEE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CUSTOMS DUTIES ASSESSED BY DESTINATION COUNTRIES. We have no means of collection and payment for such duties. And because we ship all over the world and every country has a different system, it is not possible at this time for us to calculate exact tariffs for individual items. However, be warned: all customs duties are based on the purchase price (value) of the package. Again, individual rates vary.
Returns
Return for exchange is accepted on manufacturer defects only. Otherwise, returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee, and the customer incurs all shipping costs associated with the returned merchandise. We will ship the replacement free of charge.
Damaged (as opposed to defective) items are always deemed damaged in transit unless the damage is specifically noted in the item description (hence not eligible for exchange). In the event of shipping damage or defective product, contact customer service (returns@ancientearthentertainment.com) for an RMA number and further instructions. Customer shipping costs are often covered when returns are initiated within 7 days of delivery and the product is deemed defective.
Refunds
All refunds other than those for damaged items for which no exchange is possible are subject to a 25% restocking fee, as stated in the 'Returns' policy above.
